HireNow Staffing is seeking a highly qualified and passionate Education Resource Specialist to support the Abdominal (Kidney) Transplant team at a premier medical center in Houston, Texas. This position offers a unique opportunity to advance healthcare education and support a specialized transplant unit committed to patient care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive educational modules and continuing education events for the abdominal transplant program, including outpatient, transplant ICU, and acute care settings.
Provide advanced training, orientation, and ongoing education to clinical staff and transplant coordinators.
Ensure compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines, integrating best practices into educational materials.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support for the SICU and outpatient transplant unit.
Participate in a comprehensive 3-day classroom training program, working directly with leadership to meet educational goals.
Required Qualifications
Active RN License: Texas or multi-state compact license, clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions. (Disclosure of any board actions is mandatory during the recruitment process.)
Education: Masters Degree in Nursing.
Certifications: Current BLS certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing.
3 years of Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience (required; non-negotiable).
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Proven track record of stable employment history (job history dates and units worked must be accurate).
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Transplant Coordinator.
Familiarity with Epic, OPTN, and CSM guidelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex educational tasks effectively.
Honest and transparent regarding unit, shift, and location preferences.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with some flexibility.
