Berkshire County Head Start is seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Site Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality early childhood education at our Conte School location. This is an exceptional opportunity for an educational leader passionate about supporting children, families, and educators in a Head Start setting. 

About the Role

As a key member of our mid-level leadership team, the Education Site Manager supports and oversees all aspects of site-based programming, ensuring compliance with Head Start, state, and local regulations. You will lead a team of dedicated educators, guide instructional practices, manage enrollment processes, and maintain a culture of excellence.

This is a full time 30 hour per week position.

What You Bring

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (from an accredited institution).
•  EEC Director I/II certification. 
•  Active Professional Qualifications Registry number (EEC).
  

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Early Education.
• Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian/Creole.
• Experience in leadership within Head Start or subsidized early learning settings.
• Professional development in adult supervision/mentorship.
   

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep understanding of Massachusetts preschool standards, Head Start frameworks, and early education compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic child management systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Commitment to family engagement.
   

Physical Requirements

This role requires physical activity including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and actively supervising children indoors and outdoors.
