Position Title: Educational Support Specialist
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
Contract: 10 month renewable contract, summer opportunities available
Salary Range: $23,000–$27,000 annually for 10 month offer
Reports to: Head of Preschool/Site Director

Position Summary:

The Early Learning Center at Yeshiva is seeking a warm, dependable, and team-oriented Educational Support Specialist to provide hands-on classroom and logistical support across all age groups from 6 weeks through five years-old. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as support staff in all classrooms on a rotating schedule
• Assist with minor behavioral needs and offer emotional support to students
• Provide coverage for teacher bathroom or nursing breaks as needed
• Deliver supplies and classroom materials as needed
• Help maintain classroom supervision standards during transitions or staff absences
• Respond to staff needs via walkie-talkie and support immediate, small-scale classroom needs
• Participate in professional development
   

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
• Reliable, flexible, and communicative
• Able to multitask and stay calm in dynamic classroom environments
• Willingness to be trained and follow all compliance and safety protocols
• High school diploma required; some college coursework in early childhood or related field preferred
