EEG Tech

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EEG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to assist in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG tests on patients, ensuring accurate placement of electrodes and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor patients during procedures, recording vital signs and observing any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret EEG results and contribute to patient care plans.
• Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are properly sanitized and functioning before use.
• Document patient information and test results accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist in the training of new staff members on EEG procedures and protocols as needed.
• Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and best practices within emergency medicine.

Years of Experience: 2 year(s)

Certifications:BLS, REEGT

Experience

• Previous experience as an EEG Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes in both Level I and Level II trauma centers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential for effective patient assessment and care.
• Experience working within emergency medicine settings is a plus, enhancing the ability to respond to critical situations effectively.

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $47.32 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
