EEG Tech-Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Aci Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled EEG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to monitor and record electrical activity in the brain. This role is critical in assisting healthcare professionals with diagnostic evaluations and ensuring the highest level of patient care. The EEG Technician will work closely with patients, providing comfort and support during procedures while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

• Perform EEG tests on patients, ensuring accurate placement of electrodes and adherence to established protocols.
• Monitor patients during testing to observe any abnormal brain activity and document findings.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret EEG results and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
• Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and techniques to provide the best patient care.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of experience
• BLS, REEGT certifications required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to EEG procedures.
• Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately in clinical situations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Previous experience in diagnostic evaluation or related fields is a plus.
• A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.

Pay: $47.00 - $47.32 per hour
