Responsibilities include management of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulatory compliance for site operations and construction, programs, procedures, and in support of global and corporate policies, programs, and ISO requirements. This position will perform a variety of work to ensure compliance through explanation of permit terms and regulatory obligations; recommendation of appropriate action to assure conformance with current and new regulatory requirements; support of operational activities and projects; maintenance and improvement of the health and safety management system. Collaborates with all departments and functions as necessary for effective and compliance. Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of safety policies and programs; performs a variety of work to develop, implement, and monitor site safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices. Analyzes performance trends to develop objectives under the EHS programs. Effectively leads positive change where needed to align with business objectives and other R&D site/locations. Supports EHS performance related to Lam's Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) function and assist with establishment of routine business processes and reporting of EHS objectives, goals, strategies and key performance indices; provide GWS management guidance and coaching to ensure actions and business practices are in alignment with Lam EHS strategies and objectives. Ensures construction, renovation and maintenance projects meet the requirements of Lam's global EHS standards, contractor EHS program, and Contractor EHS Handbook. Develops/delivers required EHS training, conduct routine audits to ensure EHS objectives and strategies are working. Drive participation and support of emergency response by GWS and OSPs. Participate in the development of projects and prevention initiatives, incident investigations, and participate in Global EHS initiatives as needed. Interacts collaboratively with business units to drive continual improvement of EHS programs. Serves in an influence role to safety committee members, engineering, and operations departments to ensure effective execution of EHS programs. Participates as a site emergency responder. 6-10 years of related EHS experience with at least 4 years of semiconductor or construction industry experience with Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, with a strong emphasis in safety and construction, NFPA and CFC. Hazard risk assessment experience. Must be comfortable working in laboratory, clean room, and construction environments. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, manage and drive results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements. Strong ability to manage change relative to EHS aspects associated with people changes, equipment and process changes. Exceptional root cause and corrective/preventive action development skills. Ability to lead a cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, with a focus on measurable results. Ability to run an effective meeting with focus on problem statement and results.
