San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, fondly referred to in the past as "the Jewish Home," was founded in 1871. Today, 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.

Position Overview:

EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health records) software applications and integrations, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. The EHR Application Analyst work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for specific work groups. Work on complex technical and business matters. Requires 5+ years of experience.

The EHR Application Analyst will partner with operations leads and end users to optimize a recent implementation of PointClickCare.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop training materials, handouts, instructional and reference materials as needed for staff.
  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting on PointClickCare and related systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of applications, integrations and related programs, as well as the daily needs of the healthcare setting and policies and procedures therein.
  • Shadows workflows practices to identify potential process improvements within PointClickCare.
  • Works in partnership with leadership and staff to translate clinical requirements into specifications for PointClickCare. Participates directly in the development of Assessments, Document Manager packages and workflow improvements within PointClickCare.
  • Administer general system configuration within the EHR.
  • Work with the Clinical and IT departments to ensure security roles provide the minimum required access.
  • Evaluate team requests (e.g., clinical, admissions and social services) on process improvements or system enhancements to PointClickCare.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Improve systems and processes by researching solutions, designing modifications, and providing recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT team members.
  • Maintain system protocols and recommend controls; write improved procedures.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by maintaining proper information confidentiality (i.e., adherence to HIPAA guidelines)
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Test new features and facilitate roll out of system updates.
  • Perform thorough user acceptance testing on PointClickCare enhancements.
  • Coordinate testing findings with both clinical and finance teams for defects identified and new features / releases.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with department heads to help drive adoption of systemic improvements.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with technical resources within the vendor ecosystem

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum three years’ recent PointClickCare system management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education/ experience.
  • Experience working with Nursing and support departments in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Familiarity with the roles of Life Enrichment, Social Services, Therapy, Dining Servcies, etc. and how they relate to a PointClickCare implementation.
  • SQL query development and familiarity with Data Relay for custom reporting desired
  • Nursing experience preferred.
  • Current knowledge of project management principles and software
  • Strong knowledge of business software and automation trends
  • · Technical documentation experience required
  • · Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices
  • Basic computer hardware and software skills including PCs, MS Office suite
  • · Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent follow-through and detail skills
  • Ability to conduct research into technical requirements and products as required
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • · Demonstrable ability to handle technical interruptions with the appropriate level of feedback to users, peers, and management.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.

Pay is commensurate with experience, 114K - 124K
