Job Summary
Renaissance Behavioral Health Systems is looking for an EHR Systems Support Specialist to work at our corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
The EHR Systems Support Specialist will help to ensure that the EHR system is effectively utilized and that staff are able to use the EHR system in a competent manner by: providing essential support for staff who work with the EHR system. The specialist will help to ensure that the system and associated processes are in compliance with regulations and certification requirements and that the EHR system functions as effectively as possible by working with users and the EHR system vendor to facilitate system updates and improvements. The term EHR system is defined to include all electronic health record, practice management and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for organizing, leading and facilitating EHR user meetings and work groups
- Facilitates networking opportunities with other Streamline customers by organizing peer and system utilization sessions in order to leverage Smartcare benefits.
- Coordinates Receipt of Vendor User Guides.
- Adapts Vendor User Guides for MHRC Processes.
- Coordinates collection and storage of EHR User Competency documentation.
- Develops Tip Sheets for publication to MHRC EHR Users
- Manages EHR Testing Room and Devices.
- User Administration - Sets up Users’ profiles in the EHR environments including user logons.
- Updates SmartCare System Configurations
- Oversees Ticket Management leveraging two portals: Streamline and Powernet
- Coordination of testing & troubleshooting ticket issues between staff and vendor
- Incumbent will cross train into other areas of RBHS information services as necessary to ensure a resilient IT organization
- Collect customer requirements and develop DFA documents in the system
- Run SQL select statements as necessary
- Utilize SQL scripts as necessary to enhance SmartCare functionality or resolve SmartCare issues
- Gather and document SQL reporting requirements with customers
- Build, QA and deliver functional SQL reports as needed
- Test newly released SmartCare functionality and enhancements
- Works with Streamline and the RBHS/MHRC EHR team to configure, test, and further develop EHR functionality.
- Assists in the development of SmartCare scenarios for live testing.
- Performs system validation testing.
Qualifications
- In order to be considered, candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent required or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related field, or Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare required.
- One or more years of experience with electronic health records, technology support, and/or systems training preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and use of the Internet.
- Proficiency in electronic records and billing software demonstrated within three months of employment.

Mental Health Resource Center, Inc. (MHRC) is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of behavioral health and social services to the community. Included in MHRC’s service array are 24-hour emergency services and inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults. Outpatient services include medication management, care coordination, case management, intensive case management team services, counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, an adult therapeutic family program, state hospital liaison services, mental health court, multidisciplinary forensic teams (MFT), jail-based diversion services, a Co-Responder Program with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the Link-to-Life suicide prevention program, and services that assist individuals in obtaining benefits such as Social Security Income, Social Security Disability Income, Medicaid, food stamps, and housing. In addition, UF Health Jacksonville contracts with MHRC to manage the hospital’s adult inpatient psychiatric unit.
MHRC also operates eight Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programs for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, located in Clearwater, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Kissimmee, Rockledge, Tampa, and Winter Haven, as well as a FACT Lite program providing Linking, Advocating, Treating, Transitioning, Empowering & Recovery Support (LATTERS) services in Jacksonville. The two FACT teams located in Jacksonville serve residents of Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties.
