EHR Trainer & Support - Sedalia, MO

Position Summary: The EHR Systems Trainer & Support is a key member of the organization who focuses on training employees to utilize their skills at the top of their licensure and/or degree. This position will be responsible for all aspects of new-hire training related to electronic documentation and work with all departments to identify continuing education needs. Management of on-going requirements of the EHR application is critical, as is ensuring effective end-user support. This position will be responsible for master clinical applications and optimizing the applications for specific workflows. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support will also be a key member of the Training Program and work directly with other training staff, Nurse Educator, Lead Dental Assistant, Lead LPN, Lead PSR, Dental Clinic Coordinator, and PH/QI Director. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support position requires the ability to adapt to change as needed. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support must possess and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and skill in areas of healthcare applications, technology and/or evidence by experience in providing classroom and/or on-site training in health information systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possess high school diploma or equivalent
Hold a current and valid Licensed Practical Nursing license or certification in medical assisting and/or dental assisting.
At least 3 years of direct experience with an Electronic Health Record platform
Previous training experience preferred, healthcare experience a plus
Possess basic keyboard skills and computer knowledge
Must demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and efficiency from approved training program
Possess cognitive skills necessary to understand medical terminology
Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times
Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required
Must maintain excellent attendance
