EHS Advisor - Owner's Rep

SMG is seeking a local EHS Advisor/Owner's Rep in Boulder, Colorado.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• A review of the existing area and consideration of all adjacent equipment, buildings, property boundaries, etc. 
• A review of the ongoing design for new equipment in the area 
• Identification of potential incidents resulting in fire, explosion, or release of toxic gases and vapors, as well as an assessment of the credible consequences of these events 
• Quantitative assessment of the impact that these incidents could have on occupied buildings 
• Evaluation of proper facility siting based on appropriate codes (NFPA, IFC, IBC, NEC, API, etc.) 
• A report stating the findings and making reasonable and pragmatic recommendations for improvement 

• 7 to 10 years of EHS experience
• Previous pharma experience is a plus
• Degree in EHS or related fields
• Previous experience with the following codes: NFPA, IFC, IBC, NEC, API, etc.

Physical Demands of the job may include

• Moving about long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
• Working in extreme weather
• Being exposed to loud noises
• Wearing personal protective gear correctly
