RBA Builders LLC is located in Southern California in the city of Fountain Valley.
Job Overview:
The RBA EHS Assistant and or Safety Engineer 1 is an entry level position designed to assist in the maintenance and delivery of the RBA construction safety program throughout Southern California.
The SE1 position works closely with all project teams as well as subcontractors on site and must stay abreast of new laws and regulations regarding health and safety to help ensure the safety program remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Previous construction or safety experience and training are a plus but not required.
The SE1 position reports directly to the Safety Engineer 3 (SE3) and/or Safety Manager.
The SE1 position does not require an engineering background.
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focused study in safety, health, or the environment (Preferred)
- A combination of 1-3 years of safety experience in the construction industry or production environment with an associate degree in safety, health, or the environment.
- Board of Safety Certified Professionals certification CSP, ASP, SMS, OHST, or CHST. (Preferred)
- Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
- OSHA 30 and/or HAWOPER 40 certification (Preferred
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check for badging purposes.

Working Conditions:
-This role involves both office and site locations.
- Physical demands include walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
- The position requires visits to construction sites, including wearing appropriate safety PPE.
