Job Description: As an integral part of our team, you'll develop and administer Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards. Your role will involve fostering awareness and accountability of EHS issues throughout the facility, minimizing liability, and promoting sustainability. Responsibilities: Lead or facilitate the site EHS safety committee. Serve as a member of the plant Leadership Team. Lead the development, implementation, and continual enhancement of the EHS Management System at the facility. Identify and leverage EHS best practices and manage through the Safety and Environmental Pillars of World Class Operations Management (WCOM). Lead EHS planning, including goal-setting, prioritizing facility needs, and establishing performance review systems. Assist department managers, supervisors, and employees in implementing creative approaches to improve safety, minimize environmental footprint, and implement EHS initiatives. Conduct or coordinate EHS inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify improvement opportunities. Provide progress reports to corporate and facility management regarding EHS goals, metrics, and performance indicators. Coordinate resources to manage EHS aspects and requirements affecting the facility. Procure and maintain necessary records, data, or information for reporting and compliance verification. Provide recommendations and ensure proper follow-up and resolution of identified concerns. Evaluate new materials and material use to ensure compliance and promote safety. Collaborate with engineering in designing and installing new or altered equipment/processes to reduce safety hazards and environmental impact. Provide training and information on corporate and governmental EHS regulations and requirements. Lead the facility in promoting and implementing a high-performance EHS culture. Develop, maintain, and implement EHS policies, procedures, and responsibilities. Perform or coordinate monitoring activities to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and initiatives. Manage the incident investigation process to ensure timely reporting, identification of root causes, and tracking of corrective actions. Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate effective EHS training for all facility personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience. 5+ years of experience or involvement in EHS. Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP), Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is a plus.
