EHS Safety Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Safety Manager to join our team at a high-volume manufacturing plant. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and protecting the environment. The EHS Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Provide training and education to employees at all levels.
• Monitor and report on performance to ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.
• Manage hazardous waste storage and ensure proper disposal and documentation.
• Oversee emergency response planning and coordination.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Safety role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
• Certification in EHS management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
