EHS Specialist

We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support a large manufacturing operation and help drive a strong, proactive safety culture. This hands on role will focus on hazard identification, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, training, and risk reduction programs.
• Partner with operations leadership, supervisors, employees, and contractors to address hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Support OSHA and other regulatory compliance, audits, inspections, hot work permitting, and confined space programs.
• Recommend and implement practical safety improvements, equipment, and processes to reduce risk and improve workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of experience, or 10+ years of safety experience with no degree.
• Manufacturing or heavy industrial safety experience preferred. CSP or similar professional certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, with familiarity with DOT, DHS, and other regulatory agencies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
