INTRODUCTION:

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz is requiring motor vehicle operators to transport Tribal Members and program participants to and from appointments, hospitals, and clinics within an eleven county area.

DUTIES:

• The purpose of the driver is to ensure safe and consistent transportation of clients to appointments. Clients of all ages will be eligible for service, depending on need.  
• The driver will assist Coordinator in scheduling client transportation needs.
• Vehicle safety checks prior to and at the conclusion of each transport.
• Participate in Annual Transport Training.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

A valid Oregon driver’s license, insurance, good driving record and eligible to drive GSA vehicles.

Knowledge of:

• How to operate motor vehicles safely.

Ability to:

• Drive vehicles with standard or automatic transmissions, and ability to drive 9-passenger vehicle.
• Perform the work of the position with minimal supervision.
• Keep vehicle neat and paperwork in order.
• Interpret instructions, directions, road maps, etc.
• Use department software for all transports.
• Obtain CDL (Commercial Drivers License) if requested.
• Lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Other:

• Must be reliable and dependable.
• First Aid and CPR card required or ability to acquire within 60-days of hire. 
• Successfully complete New Transport Hiring Training within 10-day of hire.
• Must possess a valid Oregon State driver's license, insurance and be eligible to drive a GSA vehicle.
