Tests all devices manufactured or supplied according to engineering data, bill of materials (BOM’s), electrical drawings, and IEEE/ANSI/NEMA standards, utilizing appropriate test equipment. Maintain test equipment calibrations as required and document all test results at the direction of supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test all devices manufactured or supplied (M/V Switchgear) utilizing methods approved by supervisor and supplied engineering data.
• Safely conducts a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on switchgear and subassemblies and parts to ensure the unit functions according to specifications.
• Confirm that all devices manufactured match all the engineering data supplied and are manufactured to maintain the highest standards of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs.
• When any power is used during testing, safety barriers with yellow warning lights must be in operation. Each device under test must be grounded to the building ground.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
• Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
• Ability to lift 50 + lbs, climb ladders, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
• Training in a Technical discipline, trade school or electrical theory education preferred.
• Military experience a plus.
• One to Two years Electrical experience preferred.
