Electrical Apprentice - Delcon

JOB PURPOSE:

As part of the Delcon team, the Electric Apprentice will help to install electrical systems for high-end custom residential and commercial clients. At Delcon, our passion is to Demand Better. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will report to the Delcon Electrical Manager and will serve as a critical member of the construction team. The Electrical Apprentice will be required to meet all current Federal and State requirements of a licensed electrical apprentice where applicable. All Wyoming Electrical Apprentices are required to be actively participating in the Apprenticeship Program and maintain a passing grades in accordance with policy. Specific job duties include:

• At the direction of the Lead, perform regular duties, such as: bending, cutting, pulling & installing conduit & wire, troubleshooting, testing, trimming outlets, mounting equipment, and maintaining/servicing as needed for new and existing clients.
• Regular use of hand and power tools appropriate for the job.
• Handle a variety of materials required for the job, including loading/unloading/moving.
• Adhere to safety procedures, policies, guidelines, and precautions while ensuring the job site remains tidy and free of safety hazards.
• Read and understand basic blueprints.
• Adapt to various types of construction/job site conditions.
• Perform any other project-related tasks that arise on a daily basis.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate the ability to identify electrical parts & components.
• Utilize a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the electrical industry.
• Possess a basic knowledge, and safe use, of tools and equipment.
• Preferred: 1-2 years electrical-related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: communicate with others both physically present and on the telephone; sit and stand; move, use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects over 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The physical environment requires the employee to typically work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow. Additionally, the position may require the employee to perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
• This position will require travel to multiple sites on a regular basis as the need arises.
• This position is located in Jackson, WY, with responsibilities for additional locations.
• This FLSA non-exempt position may be requested to work overtime and weekends on occasion.
