About the Role


We're looking for hands-on Electrical Assembly Technicians to build electrical equipment and integrated electrical systems across our rack, skid, and switchboard assembly operations. You'll work from production orders, blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and approved changes to complete assembly work safely, accurately, and efficiently. The role offers progression from foundational assembly work through independent complex assembly, troubleshooting, peer support, and working-lead responsibilities based on demonstrated proficiency.



What You'll Do



  • Review production orders, blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and other approved production documentation.

  • Assemble electrical equipment, integrated electrical systems, racks, skids, and switchboard-related assemblies according to approved drawings and production requirements.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, fixtures, and other production equipment safely and accurately.

  • Install, fit, align, fasten, route, and secure components and hardware as directed by drawings and work instructions.

  • Inspect completed work for workmanship, fit, alignment, component installation, labeling, hardware, and other quality requirements.

  • Identify and communicate missing, damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming materials, components, drawings, or work instructions.

  • Complete required quality checks, production records, work orders, checklists, and other documentation accurately.

  • Coordinate with Electrical Assembly, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Control Wiring, and other functions to resolve production questions, drawing issues, material needs, and approved changes.

  • Perform approved rework, corrections, adjustments, and production changes needed to bring assemblies into conformance.

  • Maintain an organized work area and support safe work practices, housekeeping, productivity, quality, and efficient use of materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement, process standardization, lean manufacturing, assembly quality, efficiency, and productivity.



What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and other production documentation.

  • Ability to safely and accurately use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other equipment required for assigned work.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly concepts appropriate to the assigned level.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, productivity, and safe work practices.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, materials personnel, and other production employees.

  • Ability to learn new products, assembly methods, tools, equipment, and production requirements and work with increasing independence as proficiency develops.

  • Regular on-site physical presence is required; ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform the physical movements required by the work, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment and follow applicable safety and PPE requirements; additional hours, weekend work, or travel to customer sites may be required based on business needs.

  • Preferred: previous manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly experience.

  • Preferred: experience assembling electrical equipment, control panels, switchboards, racks, skids, or related engineered-to-order products.

  • Preferred: experience reading detailed production drawings and using precision measuring devices, quality documentation, inspection checklists, rework, troubleshooting, or production records.

  • For Lead-level consideration, experience providing technical assistance, training, onboarding support, or day-to-day coordination to other employees is preferred.
