Diversified Technologies, Inc. (DTI) is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high-power electrical equipment.  Our exceptional engineers and scientists collaborate to develop the world’s most powerful radar transmitters, pulsed power units for state-of-the-art processing in food, energy and wastewater, and advanced R&D for national laboratories. 

DTI is seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter / Operator who will assist with document production for a fast-paced, small business. Work with a tight-knit team of engineers on a range of production and R&D projects.  This is a great opportunity for someone eager to work in a challenging, innovative, fast-paced technical organization based in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize SolidWorks Electrical and ACAD to create documentation for electrical systems (e.g., generate schematics, cable harness drawings, bills of materials, etc.)


• Work closely with engineers on the following:
  
  
  
  • Assist with drawing tree creation and generate new system schematics
  
  
  • Make changes and updates to existing and new drawings
  
  
  • Work from hand drawings, sketches, verbal and written instructions
  
  
  • Setting of drafting attributes and data integrity associated with components and wires for both schematic and bill of material accuracy
  
  
  • Attend meetings and generate reports
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience with CAD software such as ACAD, SolidWorks, or similar


• SolidWorks Electrical is highly desired, but training will be provided


• Knowledge of electrical systems and schematics desired


• Attention to detail with an interest in working with design engineers and a team of drafters


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated and responsive to deadlines


• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation:

• Salary range: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
