Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer - Level 1 or 2 - Avionics Design Group within Launch Vehicles business unit at the Chandler, AZ facility.\n\nAs a member of the circuit design team, you\u2019ll be responsible for circuit design and development for programs. You will perform detailed board-level digital and mixed signal circuit design, circuit analysis and simulation to verify as-designed circuit response meets requirement criteria. You will select component parts for the design to meet stringent environments, including radiation effects. You will evaluate completed design with more senior engineers and other technical groups and make modifications necessary to achieve a design that satisfies requirements. Write design and test documentation including analyses, specifications, user manuals, test procedures, etc. You will support the qualification testing phase by developing test procedures and reports. You may also oversee, with senior engineer oversight, component supplier design, analysis, manufacture, and test.\n\nThis is a dual level requisition and can be filled at a level I or 2 \n\nElectrical Engineer - 1\n\nBasic qualifications \n\n * Bachelors with 0 years\u2019 digital / mixed signal design experience or Masters with 0 years\u2019 experience.\n\n * Must be capable of understanding and adhering to department design standards.\n\n * Ability to work in an Agile project format, team-based environment, including Jira and Git environments.\n\n * Experience with Schematic Capture and board layout.\n\n * Proficiency with circuit simulation including PSpice or LTSpice.\n\n * Experienced in hardware troubleshooting / software debugging. Physical testing experience including lab measurement (oscilloscope, signal/function generator, logic analyzer, etc).\n\n * Experience generating design documents, specifications, user\u0027s manuals, test plans and procedures.\n\n * U.S. Citizenship is required.\n\n * Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Active Secret Clearance.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Familiarity with Cadence/Xpedition, Matlab, VHDL, Python.\n\n * Familiarity with microprocessor and/or FPGA circuit design.\n\n * Familiarity with circuit design for military/space environments.\n\n * Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is preferred.\n\n\n\n\nElectrical Engineer - 2\n\nBasic qualifications \n\n * Bachelors with 2 years\u2019 digital / mixed signal design experience or Masters with 0 years\u2019 experience.\n\n * Must be capable of understanding and adhering to department design standards.\n\n * Ability to work in an Agile project format, team-based environment, including Jira and Git environments.\n\n * Experience with Schematic Capture and board layout.\n\n * Proficiency with circuit simulation including PSpice or LTSpice.\n\n * Experienced in hardware troubleshooting / software debugging. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
