About the Location – Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control (Orlando)
BRPH team members assigned to the Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control Center in Orlando work on-site as part of an integrated, interdisciplinary team supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. Embedded with the client, this role offers hands-on collaboration in a secure, fast-paced environment delivering technically complex facilities solutions.
Overview
The Jr. Electrical Engineer provides integral support to the department's core production group on a variety of complex and challenging projects, while being professionally mentored by senior level engineers and provided with continuous hands-on training to ensure a successful career path.
Job Responsibilities
• Prepare load calculations, specify, and coordinate layouts of electrical equipment, and perform power, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, lightning protection, communications, and fire alarm system design, and produce construction documents using REVIT or AutoCAD under the direction and supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform basic electrical calculations such as: short circuit and voltage drop.
• Perform photometry calculations for normal and emergency lighting using lighting calculation software.
• Participate in inter-discipline project coordination.
• Visit construction sites to review, monitor, and report construction progress.
• Follow the department's quality control vision through performing designer checks on construction documents.
• Participate in the department training plan and the firm's mentorship program.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 2-4 years of experience in Architecture and Engineering field.
• A positive and professional attitude that is centered on personal development to take advantage of all the career advancement opportunities within the department.
• Must be a US Citizen.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building and energy conservation codes.
• Intimate knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, AGi32, Microsoft Visual, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft OneNote.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and holds Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) status.
