We take pride in our work and our ability to provide opportunities for our teams, support each other’s growth, and look ahead to what’s next. When you join AKS, you will find opportunities to take ownership of meaningful projects, learn, lead, and make an impact from day one.

We’re growing our Electrical Engineering practice and are looking for an Electrical Engineer (EIT or PE) to help support and grow the team. Whether you’re an experienced EIT ready to take the next step or a licensed PE looking to lead and mentor, this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of utility, site development, and public infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, utilities, and regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
  • Provide technical support during design reviews, meetings, and construction phases

Who You Are

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
  • 4+ years of relevant electrical design experience, ideally across commercial, municipal, and/or utility projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or electrical design tools such as Revit or SKM
  • Comfortable preparing electrical plans, single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting photometrics
  • A strong communicator who works well with both internal teams and external partners
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable—you deliver quality work and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with short circuit and arc flash studies
  • Familiarity with NEC, NESC, and local jurisdictional codes
  • Exposure to low-voltage systems or renewable energy projects
  • Interest in mentoring junior engineers or designers
  • Desire to grow into a technical or people leadership role as the electrical team expands

Why AKS?
