Your Role
As Electrical Engineer, you’ll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential.
Your scope includes:
- Support daily mill operations by providing technical expertise in electrical systems, drives, instrumentation, and automation platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues affecting production, including PLCs, motor control centers, DCS/automation systems, sensors, networks, and field instrumentation.
- Collaborate with maintenance electricians, operators, and reliability teams to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including inspection, condition‑based monitoring, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to capital and improvement projects involving equipment upgrades, automation enhancements, and control system optimization.
- Work with OEMs, vendors, and contractors to evaluate technical issues, support equipment commissioning, and ensure safe and compliant installation work.
- Help maintain documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, equipment history, and technical standards.
- Promote safe work practices, compliance with electrical regulations, and continuous improvement in all maintenance activities.
What you bring
You're a natural fit for Electrical Engineer if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, industrial technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, or reliability within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Paper mill experience or exposure to high‑speed process industries is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of electrical power systems, motors, drives, PLCs, controls, and industrial automation.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex electrical issues using analytical tools and structured troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with reliability principles, predictive technologies, and maintenance work processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Knowledge of Lean practices and continuous improvement tools is an asset.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all electrical codes and standards.

Your challenge!
Reporting to the Operational Efficiency Director, the Senior Project Leader – Operations’ mission is to contribute to the development and implementation of his or her unit's business strategy by developing project plans aimed at maximizing operational excellence. You act as a technical expert and support problem solving by collaborating with various stakeholders. You also build a competent and mobilized team and support continuous improvement efforts to ensure the implementation of standardized, safe and highly valued processes, practices and tools within your unit. As a result, you actively participate in projects’ realization that ensure the achievement of operational efficiency and occupational health and safety objectives and have a direct influence on processes and products’ quality and your department’s profitability.

Contribute to the optimal execution of operations by achieving targets in occupational health and safety, talent engagement and management, and production plan execution (OEE)
Establish and apply standardized production practices and procedures to achieve your unit’s objectives
Responsible
Contribute to resolving technical problems within the unit by coordinating and facilitating meetings in collaboration with the various stakeholders (technical assistance)
Implement processes and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement within your sector
Contribute to the improvement of process and product quality
Develop performance indicators and ensure their implementation and follow-up
Participate in plant operations to implement all operational excellence program procedures related to quality assurance
Monitor corrective and preventive actions (internal and external) with managers and offer them the necessary support to ensure their effectiveness
