Electrical Engineer

ICI Services is looking for motivated individuals who want to join our team in Port Hueneme, CA. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering & Integration, Systems Acquisition, Information Warfare and In-Service Sustainment to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We are looking for the right Electrical Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Security Clearance:
* Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate or supervise the research, design, development, testing, manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
* Provide engineering support in the selection, evaluation and qualification of replacement technologies and materials.
* Provide input covering such elements as design, materials selection, performance characteristics, conformance testing, and specified quality requirements.
* Provide input to the selection, and qualification of current and potential vendors.
* Maintain and develop test system software and hardware, failure diagnostics, provide engineering guidance for test personnel, and provide engineering reviews.
Experience Requirements:
* Any or all of the following specific experience is highly desirable:
* Five years' experience in electrical system design,
* at least three years of specific experience in designing shipboard systems using Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for the US Navy or vessels governed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
* two years of specific experience in designing and testing systems for Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI).
Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering.
* 15 years' experience performing electrical engineering duties may substitute for the degree.
