Electrical Engineer

As an Electronics Hardware Engineer at Freedom Gateway, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and design process of a new microcontroller we plan on manufacturing and installing in our kiosk network across the country. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) development and design from the conception to manufacturing stage.
Responsibilities :
Develop PCBs for microcontroller units from conception to testing to mass production.
Use tools such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers for electronic diagnostics.
Work on embedded firmware and develop on-board software primarily in C and C++.
Prepare detailed layouts of the Printed Circuit Board and establish all electrical functionality.
Generate and check all output files for the complete fabrication of the Printed Circuit Board.
Work with PCB fabricators / manufacturers to resolve any problems related to design.
Resolve technical issues related to PCB design and assists with solutions.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) development and design from the conception to manufacturing stage.
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
1-3 year's experience in hardware engineering or an adjacent field is preferred.
Hands on work experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software tools
Previous experience writing software for microcontroller peripherals
Experience with C and C++ is required
Raspberry Pi and Arduino experience
Working knowledge of version control and code review tools (Git)
Experience using Linux
Thorough documentation skills
Candidate should be located near the Pittsburgh area or able to relocate to work in our office downtown.
