Electrical Engineer - Continuous Learning Opportunities

Job Summary: Our firm seeks a highly-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Design) department. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable about electrical designs for facilities. The candidate would, in time, be responsible for designing and coordinating the electrical systems for various commercial and institutional Projects. The ideal candidate would have significant experience in AutoCAD and Excel, strong communication skills, and be comfortable working with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

(Note: Our company would provide in-house guidance on Project-specific needs.)

• Contribute to the design of electrical systems for commercial and institutional Projects, including power, lighting, communications, and fire alarm systems.
• Prepare electrical plans and specifications using AutoCAD.
• Attend site visits and work with Project Managers and Architects to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
• Prepare construction cost estimates and participate in bid and construction meetings.
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and Architects/Project Managers to meet Project timelines and budgets.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel (Knowledge of REVIT software would be a Plus.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
