The Electrical Engineer (Switchboards) is responsible for engineering customer orders including detailed review of layout and application of equipment, wiring and component selection, component layout and control schematic development using cad software, and supports various phases of order management from initial engineering review through production shipment. In this position you will: Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders. Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager. Support engineering function by providing directions to team members per Engineering spreadsheets, UL standards and NEC in interpreting complex customer requirements and translating them into manufacturable switchboard designs. Develop control schematic drawings, BOMs and components. Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements. Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems. Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation. Maintain and track order schedules and risks. Experience troubleshooting control wiring devices following Industry standards and product specifications. Implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents including prevention, investigation and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area and engineering processes. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Engineering from an accredited institution with an expected graduation date by May 2026. Proficient understanding of electricity and circuit design Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD & Programming of PLC & Control Systems Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of switchboards
