Corrpro Companies is looking for an Electrical Engineer with Modeling Software experience to work on our AC/DC interference and mitigation design team.
Corrpro is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil and natural gas companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities. Corrpro is a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related, such as Computer Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering, other Engineering with Mechatronics, Electrical or Controls System focus
2 years of experience with SES Technologies or Elsyca IRIS modeling software
Must have very strong computer literacy and computer acumen, as well as problem-solving skills
Must be proficient at MS office programs including Excel and Word
Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical reports
Strong team and internal customer service skills required
Looking for proactive ownership of project client deliverables to ensure project success
Experience with corrosion or cathodic protection, or AMPP CP Certification helpful

RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct detailed assessments of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and ground faults from overhead and buried HVAC powerlines. Determine their potential interference with buried pipelines, and other buried utilities using SES CDEGS EMF modeling software
Develop and implement strategies to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ground fault conditions between transmission lines and pipelines
Design mitigation systems to protect pipeline infrastructure from unwanted electrical currents and transferred voltages using specialized tools and methodologies to evaluate EMI effects. Design may require unique solutions based on power line collocation and construction limitations
Create plans for gathering on-site field data included resistivity testing, pipeline AC and DC potential measurements and other relevant data
Organize and analyze collected field data
Perform some field work including soil resistivity testing
Provide office and field support to staff during field testing, as well as construction and installation of mitigation systems
Supervise and participate in post installation surveys and testing, then prepare final testing reports
Author technical reports summarizing assessment results, methodology, recommendations, etc. This includes organizing, analyzing and summarizing large spreadsheets of data and completing graphs
Direct the preparation of mitigation design drawings/drafting
