Electrical Estimator

Seeking an Estimator with 5-10 years of commercial, marine, and residential electrical experience in Tampa, FL. This position involves reviewing project plans and specifications, determining material, labor, and equipment costs, and developing detailed cost estimates.

Salary: $80K - $100k + BONUS
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and Bills of Quantities to identify scope and material needs.
• Conduct material take-offs and perform labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates for bids.
• Collect and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes; maintain pricing database.401k
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to align project logistics and schedules.
• Prepare and present detailed proposal packages, including risk assessments and alternatives.
• Track bid deadlines, distribute documentation, and assist in bid-day summaries.

• Strong grasp of electrical systems, construction specs, and quantity take-offs.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software (e.g., McCormick software, Procore)
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Preferred: 5-10 + years’ experience in commercial electrical estimating; certifications like CPE a bonus.
• Typical office-based position with field visits to project sites, warehouses, or vendor facilities for data gathering .
• Must be local to the area valid driver’s license and clean driving record required (company vehicle provided for site visits)
