A prestigious electrical contractor located in High Point, NC is looking to add an Electrical Estimator to their Operations team. The estimator should have strong communication / collaboration skills and be able to work well with people. Additional tasks and duties may include attending project meetings to review scopes, develop project approaches, perform take-offs, develop project cost analyses, and coordinate service requests from engineering or design professionals as needed.
In addition to working directly with the Operations team, this Individual must build strong working partnerships with external & internal team members, company leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
⢠Attends project meetings to review scopes and develop project approaches
⢠Performs take-offs and develops project cost analyses
⢠Develops estimates and bid packages in coordination with project management staff
⢠Coordinates service requests from engineering and design professionals, as necessary
⢠Understand contractual terms and conditions
⢠Assess risk levels associated with a project
⢠Assistance with "Service Type" jobs
⢠Supports safety initiatives and policies, serving as a good example when visiting job sites, and addressing any observed safety deficiencies with the field operations team
Qualifications
⢠Bachelorâs degree in a construction or business-related field of study, or a relevant combination of electrical industry work experience and education
⢠Know and be capable of applying the theory of basic electricity, and be able to read and interpret project plans and prints
⢠Electrical License or Journeyman card is preferred
⢠Must possess a valid drivers license ⢠Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
⢠Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and employees
⢠Must be able to read, write and understand instructions in English
