Compensation:

• Electrical Estimator: Approximately $80,000
  
• Senior Electrical Estimator: Approximately $90,000
  
• Flexible based on experience and overall fit

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in Wilson, NC.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional who combines hands-on electrical field experience with estimating expertise. The strongest candidates will understand the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects, from installation and field execution to estimating, bidding, and preconstruction planning.

We are open to candidates from several backgrounds, including experienced Electrical Estimators, Senior Electrical Estimators, Electrical Project Managers transitioning into estimating, and electrical field leaders with estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical estimates for commercial construction projects
  
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  
• Perform detailed electrical takeoffs and calculate labor, material, and equipment costs
  
• Develop competitive bids and project proposals
  
• Analyze project scope, schedules, specifications, and requirements
  
• Identify potential challenges and constructability concerns before project execution
  
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
  
• Utilize field experience to improve estimate accuracy and project outcomes
  
• Support preconstruction planning, budgeting, and project handoff processes
  
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and project records
  

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of electrical field experience
  
• Minimum 2 years of electrical estimating experience
  
• Experience with commercial electrical construction projects
  
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  
• Experience preparing estimates, bids, and proposals
  
• Strong understanding of electrical installation methods and project execution
  

Preferred:

• Senior Electrical Estimator experience
  
• Commercial electrical contractor background
  
• Experience estimating complete electrical scopes
  
• Electrical Project Manager/Estimator experience
  
• Electrical Superintendent or field leadership experience transitioning into estimating
  
• Experience with design-build and negotiated projects
