Electrical Foreman

Traveling Lead Foreman Electrical (Commercial/Industrial)
Full-Time | $35 $45 per hour, based on experience

A leading electrical contractor is currently seeking a Traveling Lead Foreman to manage and execute heavy commercial electrical projects across various industrial sites. While the job environments are industrial, the scopes of work are generally straightforward yet time-sensitive. This position is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives under pressure, collaborates well with a team, and takes initiative to drive results and solve problems on the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of at least 4 team members (typically 2 licensed electricians and 2 apprentices) per job site

• Manage labor, project timelines, and site coordination while meeting strict deadlines

• Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics

• Oversee and perform a wide range of electrical installations including:

  • Conduit and wiring systems

  • Generator and UPS installations

  • Low- and medium-voltage systems

• Maintain consistent communication with project managers and office staff

• Enforce adherence to all jobsite safety protocols and project specifications

• Provide professional verbal and written communication on site

Ideal Candidate

• Proven ability to lead teams on large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments

• Willing and able to work up to 60 hours per week

• Must be open to extensive travel; this role requires regular travel

• Capable of working independently and managing teams with minimal supervision

• High degree of reliability, professionalism, and accountability

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License (Required)

• 5+ years of hands-on field experience in electrical construction

• Previous experience as a foreman or in a leadership role preferred

• Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and standard installation techniques

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
