Electrical Journeyman

 JOB TITLE: Journeyman - Electrical 

REPORTS TO:   Superintendent/Foreman  

JOB STATUS: Full Time  

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt  

JOB SUMMARY:  

Responsible for the electrical installation of Baggage Handling Systems.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Complete tasks associated with all aspects of electrical installation according to plans and priorities. 
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. 
• Use machinery and equipment to complete tasks.  
• Anticipate, troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.  
• Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Installation job site

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Construction Environment 
• Repetitive walking, climbing stairs 
• Occasional physical hands-on construction 
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds 

WORK SCHEDULE:  Varied full-time schedule with some overtime required based on business needs.

· Ability to bend pipe and work with rigid.

· Requires being able to respond to problem situations in a timely manner.

· Ability to accomplish safe, quality and on-time completion of installation projects.

· Ability to work collaboratively across all departments within the company.

· Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.

· Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges.

· Ability to work in dynamic and changing environments.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Possess an electrical Journeyman’s license

· Strong knowledge of NEC

· Strong knowledge of motors and controls

· Print reading

· OSHA 10

· Ability to obtain airport security clearance

· Legally authorized to work in the United States
