LotusWorks is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Operations & Maintenance Technician to support low voltage electrical systems within a high-tech manufacturing or data center environment. The technician will be responsible for maintaining electrical infrastructure, supporting equipment startups, performing maintenance activities, and assisting with facility projects while ensuring compliance with site safety standards, electrical codes, and operational requirements. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, uptime, and safe operation of facility electrical systems.
Support operations and maintenance of low voltage electrical systems, including:
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Single-phase and three-phase motors and motor starters
Battery systems and backup power components
Panelboards and associated distribution equipment
Lighting systems and controls
Verify, maintain, and update EasyPower panel schedules to ensure accurate system documentation and electrical coordination.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable system performance and minimize downtime.
Assist with in-house facility projects, electrical installations, and semiconductor fab tool upgrades.
Perform utility turn-ons and turn-offs to support equipment installation, maintenance, and operational requirements.
Conduct startup walkdowns of Process Local Systems (PLS) and basebuild electrical equipment to verify installation completeness, safety, and operational readiness.
Identify deficiencies, document findings, and support corrective actions to ensure systems meet operational and safety requirements.
Support Site Incident Prevention Planning (SIPP) activities and initiatives to improve site safety performance.
Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and client procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments in accordance with site expectations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, panel schedules, and system documentation.
Assist in updating electrical drawings and documentation to reflect system modifications and upgrades.
Communicate system status, deficiencies, and maintenance activities to supervisors and engineering teams.
Support facility electrical operations as needed to maintain uptime and reliability.
Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical system issues.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of facility operations.
Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including motors, starters, VFDs, panelboards, and lighting systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and panel schedules.
Familiarity with electrical maintenance practices, troubleshooting, and system startup procedures.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards including:
NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
National Electrical Code (NEC)
Understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems is preferred.
Experience supporting semiconductor fabs, data centers, or industrial facilities.
Experience updating EasyPower or similar electrical system modeling software.
Experience supporting tool installations, facility upgrades, and electrical commissioning activities.
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related electrical discipline
OR
Two-year technical degree in electrical studies or equivalent technical training
2–3 years of industrial, commercial, semiconductor, or data center electrical maintenance experience
Experience supporting facility electrical systems, equipment startups, and maintenance activities
Electrical certification or state electrical license (preferred but not required)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
