Job Description - Electrical Program Manager (Consultant)

Craftmasters is building something new: a best-in-class skills education institution purpose-built for the modern workforce. We’re developing a rigorous, industry-connected learning environment where students gain the knowledge, hands-on skills, and real-world readiness to step into careers from day one. We’re looking for experienced electrical professionals ready to step into a role that multiplies their impact.

Craftmasters is a new vertical of Full Sail University, an award-winning educational leader with over 45 years of helping students pursue their dreams through real-world education.

Craftmasters is in a pre-launch build phase, and this role is structured intentionally around that reality. It begins as a part-time consulting engagement and transitions into a full-time, on-campus position as the campus approaches launch. This arrangement allows the Program Manager to make meaningful contributions during the development period without relocating or committing full-time before the campus is launch-ready.

  • Start date ASAP

  • Year 1: Part-time consulting engagement, approximately 10-20 hours per week averaged across a one-month span. Work can be performed remotely.

  • Year 2 and beyond: Full-time, on-campus role in Orlando, FL. Salary, benefits, and promotion pathway apply from this point forward. The transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 is contingent on mutual fit established during the consulting engagement.

The Role

As Program Manager for the Electrical program, you will lead the day-to-day excellence of the program working within Craftmasters’ academic framework and educational standards. You’ll be responsible for faculty performance, student outcomes, curriculum relevance, and industry relationships. You’ll lead a team of Course Directors and Lab Specialists, ensure instruction stays current with NEC standards and emerging electrical technologies, and serve as the primary connection between Craftmasters and the electrical industry in our market. During the startup phase you will also carry a teaching load, and should also expect to step into the classroom as needed throughout your tenure.

This is a campus-based leadership role. You’ll be present, visible, and accountable for the quality of every student who comes through your program.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Electrical program including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and student retention

  • Help source and hire instructors who bring genuine field experience into the classroom, then coach and develop them once on board

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry employers and lead our Program Advisory Committee

  • Partner with Admissions and Marketing on program positioning and campus events

  • Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement in completion and placement rates

  • Ensure compliance with ACCSC accreditation standards and state and Department of Education requirements

Who You Are

You’ve spent meaningful time in the field at an expert level and you’re ready to put that experience to work shaping the next generation of electrical professionals. You lead naturally, communicate clearly, and hold high standards for yourself and your team. You may not have run a classroom before, but you’ve trained people, managed crews, and taken ownership of outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six (6) years of verifiable, expert-level electrical field experience

  • Active electrical licensure required

  • At least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

  • Ability and willingness to teach program courses, particularly during the startup phase and as coverage needs arise

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire

  • Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E required

Why Craftmasters

We’re at the ground floor of something significant. This role offers the chance to build a program from the ground up, work alongside industry partners who are invested in our students’ success and be part of an institution that takes the skilled workforce seriously.

Recruiting Partnership & Process

Clark Construction has partnered with Craftmasters to provide recruiting support for this role.  Clark Construction will be assisting with job postings, direct recruitment and initial screen.  The Craftmasters team will manage the formal interview process, offer, any pre-employment background checks, onboarding, etc.
