Overseeing and managing electrical projects from inception to completion, as well as estimating costs associated with those projects. Responsibilities may include:
Project Planning: Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Estimation: Analyzing project requirements and creating accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources.
Procurement: Procuring necessary materials and equipment for projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Team Management: Leading and coordinating teams of electricians, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance: Monitoring project progress and ensuring that work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Client Communication: Interfacing with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and address any concerns.
Internal Communication: Communicating with various company departments to determine manpower, budgeting, and purchasing needs.
Financial Management: Tracking project expenses and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
Candidates for this role must possess a combination of technical expertise in electrical systems, project management skills, and strong analytical abilities for cost estimation. Additionally, effective communication and leadership skills are essential for successfully managing teams and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
Experience: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical project management and estimating - Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices - Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and Conest - Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders - Knowledge of construction management processes and procedures - Experience in the electrical industry is necessary
