Electrical Purchasing Manager

We are seeking an Electrical/ Construction Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement for

electrical and construction projects. This person will work with project managers, estimators,

field leaders, and vendors to ensure materials and equipment arrive on time and within

budget.

Responsibilities

• Purchase electrical materials, equipment, tools, and construction supplies for active projects.
• Review drawings, estimates, and project schedules to anticipate material needs.
• Request and compare vendor quotes; negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Issue and track purchase orders, deliveries, backorders, and returns.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and identify alternatives when materials are unavailable.
• Coordinate with project teams to prevent procurement delays.
• Monitor purchasing costs, resolve invoice discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Track long-lead items and provide regular updates to project managers.

• Experience in purchasing or procurement for an electrical contractor or construction company.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and supplier networks.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and material lists.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and managing multiple projects at once.
• Proficiency with purchasing software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Rate - $80K
