We seek an experienced Electrical Service Technician to join our thriving Service Department. This role will be responsible for our NC division and should expect to travel between Fayetteville, Greenville, Wilmington, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte, and Lancaster SC handling service calls for our wide range of commercial customers.
Hours: 7a-4p
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistent Travel required (no long-term)
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Supervising electricians.
- Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-year electrical, technical, or related degree.
- Valid driver's license
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
- At least 2 years experience as an electrical technician.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment

TEC Electric, LLC was formed in 2005 with offices located in Charlotte, NC. We provide general contracting services as well as self-perform all electrical, lighting, network, and security system installation services for customers throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee.
Currently, TEC has 20 employees consisting of corporate, field operations, engineering, and business development. TEC self-performs all technology systems except fire alarm, lightning protection, and life safety systems. For these services, we subcontract with a select list of companies with which we have a long history of successful partnerships.
