Schedule: Full-Time (with On-Call Rotation)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour plus commission

Overview

We are looking for a reliable, skilled Electrician to join our team in Southern California. In this role, you will be the face of our electrical department, providing expert diagnostics, repairs, and installations for our residential and light commercial customers. We exist to provide high-quality home solutions, and this role is vital to ensuring our customers have safe, functional, and efficient electrical systems. What Success Looks Like

Success at NexGen is defined by the quality of your work and the clarity of your communication. In the day-to-day, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
• Installing and maintaining panels, breakers, outlets, lighting, EV chargers, and other residential components.
• Ensuring every project meets NEC and local safety codes.
• Explaining technical issues and proposed solutions to homeowners in plain, easy-to-understand language.
• Keeping your job site clean and documenting your work accurately in our service software.

Over time, you will become a trusted technical lead within our team, building long-term relationships with our clients and contributing to our reputation for getting the job done right the first time.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential or service-based electrical work.
• Strong hands-on diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant Southern California electrical codes.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• The ability to manage your own schedule, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
• Professional, clear, and honest communication skills.

Bonus Points

• Current C-10 license or active progress toward obtaining one.
• Prior experience using field service software like ServiceTitan.
• Experience with modern system installations, such as EV chargers or smart home integration.
