Position Summary:
The Service Technician II will serve as a liaison between the customer and the Service Supervisor/Manager and will be responsible for organizing and controlling the preparation and execution of electrical service work to meet company objectives of cost, quality, and equipment conservation.
Essential Functions:

Perform skilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment including but not limited to:
Plan, organize, supervise, and direct the work of the crew.
Monitor and document the progress of the assigned electrical work including the quality and quantity of work performed.
Required to perform electrical installation and maintenance work.
Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and orderly manner, as well as ensure that service and repair are performed on time.
Monitor the work to ensure that the service request is completed following local and NEC requirements.
Establish relationships with the clients and obtain acceptance and approval of completed work.
Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, equipment, etc. as required.
Responsible for adhering to job safety standards per OSHA regulations and established Tri-City Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that the area where service work is performed is properly restored to normal and clean conditions when the work is complete.
Order materials and request manpower as needed, as well as monitor, track, and approve employee work time as necessary.
Participate in emergency service duty on a rotating basis.
Attend job scheduling and coordination meetings.
Responsible for schedule adjustments as necessary to ensure satisfactory support and completion of all projects and customer commitments.

Experience and Education:
Required:
Four (4) years experience as a service electrician or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license in good standing to meet the company’s driving requirements.
Strong working knowledge of construction, electrical work, and systems.
Must possess the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and lay out a project; including the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, order of operations) to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders, etc.
Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level.
Preferred:
Bilingual
Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This job operates in a construction job site environment and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions or inside conditions.
While performing this job's duties, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
Often exposed to loud sounds and noise levels as well as very bright or inadequate lighting conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Regular exposure to dirt, hazardous equipment, wiring, and underground and/or elevated heights.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Ability to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment per local, state, federal, or OSHA regulations.
The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds.
Requires the ability to perform physical duties listed above for extended periods.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:
Requires the ability to report to job sites throughout Florida; locations vary depending on the individual's home location.
May be requested to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
