We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team! This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, working 1st shift hours in our operations facility in Belmont, NH.
As an Electrical Technician III, you would be responsible to conduct, test and complete data collection for power supplies, related equipment and component systems. You would also perform qualification testing on new products. As a senior level technician, you would work closely with Technicians level I and II.
Duties and responsibilities
Conducts tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing group
Conducts various performance tests, environmental stress screening of product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to production manager
Ensures that the product meets the established specifications
Operates equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control procedures, and reports any unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate supervisor
Reports to the product managers about all ongoing projects with regard to project status, completion time projections and any problems that may have arisen during the course of the project
Must show proficiency with all base product line and designs for linear power supplies and switchers
Reading, interpreting schematics and applying knowledge to application
Act as lead on trouble shooting and repair of units
Conducts qualification testing on new product
Maintains load boxes, harnesses and test equipment.
Exhibits proficiency in the reading and interpretation of schematics
Trouble shoots and repairs product with little to no supervision
Communicates with engineering by providing detailed reports of product failures
· Two-year technical degree in electrical engineering, technology or 10 years of relevant experience in related technical field
· Experience in testing processes; experience using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscope and fatigue analysis equipment; experience with test techniques related to electrical systems
· Experience with electronic test equipment
· Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills
Required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, vision screen and background check.
Working conditions
· Must be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team
· Occasional overtime may be required to include elongated shifts or occasional weekends
· May travel to client sites on rare occasions
Physical requirements
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
· Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
