Intermountain Electronics, Inc., a world-class organization that designs, engineers and manufactures sophisticated, custom electrical distribution and control equipment is accepting applications for Electrical Technicians in Training for its Centralia, IL facility. 1st, 2nd, and Weekend shifts available. IE is engineering the future of power distribution with innovation and quality.

To be hired to work in this position you must first pass an Electrical Technician Assessment and demonstrate a basic capacity to learn and perform the work. Your time as a Trainee will depend on your ability and your performance. Your advancement to Electrical Technician depends on you!

Essential Functions:
Assembly
1. Under the direction of more experienced electrical technicians - follow and interpret technical assembly prints
to wire and install electrical components, switch gears, electrical switches and electronic instruments and
devices, such as programmable process controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic
instrumentation equipment.
2. Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate assembly and wiring.
3. Independently perform basic wiring functions.
4. Assemble and install cable tray, wiring racks, conduit, and electrical bus bar as required.
5. Perform basic troubleshooting duties as required.
6. Under direction of electrical technicians, diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction and make
necessary adjustments.
7. Perform installations compliant with current electrical codes and regulations.
8. Responsible for assigned project completion, quality, and delivery according to work schedule.
Tools and Equipment
1. Safely use various hand tools - wire strippers, crimpers, drills and drivers, and utility knife.
2. Use overhead crane, forklift, hoists, and lifts to assist in electrical assembly and moving materials/project.
3. Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored
at the end of each shift.
Other Essential Duties
1. Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time.
2. Follows and complies with IE Core Values.
3. Follow and comply with IE safety program. Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
