Position Summary
Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Wiring Lead to join its dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee electrical assembly and wiring operations, specifically focused on switchboard production. You will lead a team of electrical technicians, ensuring the accurate, high-quality, and timely completion of wiring tasks in compliance with company and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, proven leadership skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
This full-time, non-exempt position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within our organization. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager, and is available for immediate hire.
Job Responsibilities:
As the Electrical Wiring Lead for switchboard assembly at Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the electrical wiring and assembly process, ensuring quality, compliance, and team coordination. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Component Identification & Preparation Review engineering specifications, schematics, and electrical drawings to identify and gather all required components (e.g., circuit breakers, fuses, relays, control panels, wiring, and cables).Oversee the staging and organization of parts to ensure the team is properly equipped for each job.
2. Wiring and Electrical Connection Lead the team in executing accurate and safe electrical wiring within switchgear systems, ensuring proper routing, insulation, grounding, and termination based on provided diagrams and layout plans. Verify and approve completed wiring before moving into testing or inspection stages.
3. Assembly and Mounting Guide team members in mounting electrical components on panels, enclosures, or specified structures with attention to alignment, accessibility, and mechanical stability. Ensure all mounting meets structural and design specifications.
4. Testing and Inspection Support Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to assist in functional and continuity testing of assembled switchgear systems. Review inspection results and proactively address any identified issues.
5. Troubleshooting and Repair Provide hands-on leadership in diagnosing and resolving wiring or component issues.
Supervise repairs and ensure adjustments meet operational and safety requirements.
6. Safety and Compliance Enforce strict adherence to electrical codes, company policies, and OSHA safety standards.
Ensure team members use proper PPE and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
7. Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of wiring processes, test results, and modifications. Submit reports to engineering and operations leadership and ensure traceability of work.
8. Team Leadership and Collaboration Provide daily direction, training, and support to wiring assemblers.
Act as a liaison between technicians and engineers to resolve technical challenges. Participate in continuous improvement efforts and suggest enhancements to wiring practices and processes.
