JOB SUMMARY & KEY OBJECTIVES:

Assist the Plant Electrician in performing maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical components for the Pemberville Facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems to maintain and improve operations
• Perform routine maintenance, installation of conduit, and run wire
• Troubleshoot to install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment using hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment to meet electrical code and safety
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams and perform functions from those documents
• Audit electrical systems and lighting systems for safety and efficiency of cost
• Follow all safety rules, guidelines and General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

• Daily requirements:
  • Bending, twisting, turning, reaching below the knee, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting
• Lifting requirements: 
  • Will regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Strong organizational skills
• Continuous attention to detail 
• Electrical Certificate 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Experience with Allen Bradley ladder logic programming
