Electrician - Industrial - 1st Shift

What You’ll Do

• Install wiring, conduit systems, power supplies, lighting, and other electrical components following blueprints and technical specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic control systems using test instruments to identify faults
• Work with and interpret automated industrial systems, including PLC ladder logic programs
• Follow all electrical safety standards, codes, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals who are comfortable working in industrial and manufacturing environments.

You’ll be successful if you have:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• A safety-first mindset with strict adherence to lockout/tagout and electrical codes
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship or trade school program

Certifications

• State or local journeyman electrician license preferred

Technical Skills

• Experience with electrical systems, motors, transformers, VFDs, and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and automated systems

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is a physically demanding role that requires:

• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, volatile materials, and moving machinery
• Standing and walking for most of an 8-hour shift with frequent reaching and material handling
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Routine use of hand tools, air-powered tools, and cleaning materials
• Strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
