Adams Power is actively seeking Laborers with a desire to become Electrician Apprentices to join our Commercial & Industrial Electrical team.
Adams Electric has been in the Elkhorn area for over 35 years, specializing in home power solutions that included electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and home backup power systems. Our apprenticeship program emphasizes hard work combined with providing and teaching the technical side of the trades through state-of-the-art training.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for electrical installations and maintenance for residential, commercial and industrial settings. This is a potential apprenticeship opportunity. If you prove ready for the long-term commitment of an apprenticeship, Adams Power will work with you throughout this process, with the intent of you eventually becoming a licensed journeyman electrician.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate and Promote Company values of Attitude, People, Integrity, Partnership, and Excellence
- Must have some work experience, preferably in a trades / construction environment
- Must Be Able to Pass a Background Check and Drug Test
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED required or within 6-months of graduation
Schedule:
The schedule for this role is primarily Monday – Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients. Student applying may begin part-time with a goal of switching to full-time after graduation.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and/or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces. You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig/trench outside in increment weather as needed for projects. All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards.
Pay increase will be given throughout the apprenticeship and based on positive progression.
