Salary:  $22.04 - $30.34/hr.**

**This is inclusive of a 3% salary adjustment and a .60¢/hr. institutional stipend

Job duties:

This is structure and craft work in supervising the electrical maintenance program and/or construction projects of a large state building complex or institution.  Work includes planning, assigning, and supervising the work of a master, journeyman, and helper electricians and installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems. Work is performed under limited supervision.

•      Direct and inspects the installation and maintenance of light and power circuits in order to ensure circuits are installed properly and are functioning correctly.


•        Orders and maintains inventory of materials and equipment in order to maintain an adequate inventory of electrical supplies.


•      Plans jobs in order to ensure proper repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems.


•         Records various procedures and meter readings in order to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.


•      Inspects electrical systems, projects, appliances, equipment, and buildings in order to ensure safe and proper functioning.


•      Implements and complies with human resource laws, policies, procedures and practices such as: AA/EEO, recruitment, employment, position classification, performance appraisals, training, discipline, contract administration, human resource components of security protocols of agency information security and confidentiality policies, and employee safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School Diploma or equivalent and a current valid Master Electrician’s license as issued by the Electrician’s Examining Board and two (2) years experience at the Master level.

     Preference will be given to those individuals who possess a strong background in commercial electrical construction and maintenance.
