Position/Title: Electrician Type: Contract to Direct (Min 6 Months on Assignment) Location: Jefferson City, MO, US, 65109 Travel: 0 - 10% Remote, Onsite or Hybrid: Onsite Position Description: **Weekend Shift Position** - Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic, control and power equipment with minimal supervision. Must work overtime and shifts as required.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and operation manuals. Install wiring, cabling and conduit as required. Install and maintain electrical equipment and components.
- Knowledge about PLC hardware and software. Read and understand PLC ladder logic and programming. Basic operation of PC knowledge of current operating systems.
- Assist with installation of control, power, electronic, information and inspection systems.
- Select appropriate sensors and coordinate installation and mounting of hardware within a control system.
- Maintain documentation of electrical prints and control system.
- Have the ability to use drills, taps, punches, and electrical test equipment. (i.e. Volt/ohm meter).
- Use a PC to document and communicate as well as maintain specialized equipment and devices.
- Apply NEC requirements to daily activities, including plant auditing and verifying plant compliance.
- Know the operation of motors and controllers.
- Basic knowledge of welding and cutting equipment, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and have mechanical ability.
- Must be available for any training deemed as necessary. All other duties as assigned.
- Must follow all work instructions.
- Must keep work area clean and safe.
Required Education & Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent and a graduate of two-year post-secondary program in Industrial Electricity, Controls and/or Electronics. Successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program or three years directly related experience could be substituted for post-secondary education.
