Job Description - Electro Mechanic I Nights

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic to support maintenance and troubleshooting of high -speed manufacturing equipment in a production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, rapid diagnostics, and effective repair of electrical and mechanical systems.

This is a hands -on, floor -based role requiring strong technical expertise in PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and industrial equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC and control system issues
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Maintain motors, relays, contactors, pumps, compressors, and related equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities in CMMS
  • Support spare parts inventory and maintenance planning
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | 12 -hour continental shift (3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend)

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Industrial manufacturing or military maintenance experience
  • Hands -on experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial motor controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Ability to work independently in an off -shift environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, and standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with extrusion, blown film, flexographic printing, lamination, or slitting equipment
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Background in packaging or plastics manufacturing

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing/production floor setting
  • Exposure to moving machinery and industrial equipment
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
