- Experience in ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 Dimensioning, Tolerancing, and Engineering Drawing Practices
- Experience in developing design concepts, performing trade studies, and conducting evaluations and analyses
- Strong background in machine design, strength of materials, and materials technology
- Experience in executing projects in cross-functional matrix organization with other engineering disciplines
- Experience in technical presentation and interfacing with customers
- Experience in working with vendors and suppliers
- Willing to learn Acoustic Analysis, Structural Analysis, and/or Electromagnetic Design
- Designing Sheet metal products, Bus Bars, Heat Sinks & creating 3D Models, drawings and assembly instructions
- Creating Bills of Materials.
- Create Assembly Drawings and instructions.
- Design AC/DC Rectifiers, Systems and other power conversion products.
- serve as a team’s Mechanical Engineer for the design of various Power Electronic Equipment products, manufacturing improvements and/or multiple simultaneous projects. Ensure that Engineering design activities are carried out timely and accurately.
- Work closely with Electrical Engineers and manufacturing designing with product and system-wide perspective.
- Perform, instruct and supervise testing of new designs along with Electrical Engineers.
- Work with Manufacturing to improve quality, manufacturability and value of new designs.
- Support quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives on existing products.
- Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
Good knowledge of high voltage PCB design (up to 480V)
- Design cable harnesses including wiring schematics and proper EMI shielding
- Experience in the design of electronics packaging
- Knowledge of methods of fabrication
- Create, edit, and manage models/drawings in a controlled document database
- Experience with measuring devices such as test apparatus, data collection systems, gauges, micrometers, and optical comparators
- Experience with material selection including fasteners, torque, and environmental seal
- Experience with environmental testing: Thermal, vibration, Shock, EMI etc.
